The Chicago Takeover: Omega Phi Chi Omega Weekend 2015

July 7, 2015

(New Brunswick, NJ) – Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority will take over Chicago for Omega Weekend 2015. The weekend, filled with events for all sisters, will be held from Thursday, August 13 through Sunday, August 16. This is the third year the annual event has been held outside of the founding state of the organization.

Omega Weekend combines the Annual Sister Conference and the Annual Sister Retreat by providing programs, seminars, and activities for professional, alumnae, and undergraduate sisters to come together and take part in. The Sister Conference, facilitated by the National Board of Directors, will include seminars covering various topics of interest to sisters and women in general. All events will seek to empower women with knowledge that can be translated into making a difference in the communities in which the Sisters of Omega Phi Chi reside.

Our 2015 keynote speaker is Natalia Tapia, a founding sister at Zeta Chapter, the College of New Jersey. Natalia has been a member of Omega Phi Chi for almost two decades and her true passion lies in providing leadership and development opportunities to up-and-coming leaders within Omega Phi Chi Sorority. This is Natalia’s second keynote address for the organization and she looks forward to another opportunity to encourage, engage and motivate the sisterhood through her comedic expression and #realtalk.

Other conference highlights include our multicultural program, Onyx Hour Networking Social, dinner cruise, OPC Legends forum, LGBT chat #LoveWins! with Founding Mother Stacy Richardson and our annual #Hashtaglunchbag project.
