OVERSEES OPERATIONS
National Board Overview

The National Board of Directors of Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. is the formal governing body that oversees all organizational operations as well as strategic implementation to uphold our mission. It is comprised of a group of alumnae leaders with varying expertise committed to the success of Omega Phi Chi. Board members are successful women within their careers and their communities who implement their experiences into guiding, teaching, and empowering our members using their networking, personal experiences, and organizational knowledge.
Annual Projects

Along with various community service and philanthropic projects, the National Board of Directors plans and implements two main annual projects. Click below for more info.
Awards and Recognition

The National Board of Directors awards recognition to chapters and individual sisters that have flourished within the organization and outside in their personal lives. These awards are presented each year at the Soft Elegance Banquet or at Founders Day events.
Sisters are recognized for the following:

Membership Certification | completing all requirements to be come a Sophisticated Sister

Silver Academic Certificate | obtaining a semester GPA of 3.5-3.99

Gold Academic Certificate | obtaining a semester GPA of 4.0 or above

Sister Community Service Award | undergraduate sister who has completed the most hours of community service

Onyx Award | alumna who has exibited outstanding professional and personal achievement

Most Improved Chapter of the Year | chapter that has made the most progress for the year over the previous year

Alpha Chapter

National President
Ajeé Schaeffer was initiated into the Alpha chapter, at Rutgers University New Brunswick, of Omega Phi Chi in the Spring of 2014. During her undergraduate career Ajeé held positions within her chapter as well as on the Multicultural Greek Council at Rutgers University. In May of 2016 she graduated with a degree in Linguistics and English. In the fall of 2021 Ajeé began pursuing her Masters degree in organizational leadership with a concentration in education. Ajeé has been a member of the National Board of Directors since May of 2016 first serving as the Director of Retention and Resource and then as the Director of Membership. Now, as the National President, Ajeé's focus will be to tighten organizational systems, improve member relations, and ensure everything our organization does is tied back to our roots.

National Secretary
Alexis Peachey was initiated at Omicron Chapter, Fairleigh Dickinson University - Metropolitan, in Spring 2016 and received her Bachelor's Degree in International Studies in 2019 and a Master's Degree in Political Science in 2021. During her undergraduate years as a sister, she was educator for Psi chapter in Spring 2019 and served as treasurer and social chair for Omicron Chapter. Alexis also went on to be very active on campus, serving as Parliamentarian of the InterGreek Council, becoming an orientation leader, and working in the Office of Student Life. She now works in research geared toward assisting people in need.

National Director, Treasury
Kelly was initiated in spring 2018 into Rho chapter at California State University Dominguez Hills, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business marketing. As an undergrad she served on Rho chapter advisory board as Treasurer and as President. As an alumnae she continued to serve on the board as Academic Dean, Dean Of recruitment, and Treasurer. Kelly currently resides in sunny Southern California and works at a charter school in Leimert Park California. When she is not working or helping with Omega Phi Chi you can catch her doing DIY projects, going on nature walks, taking road trips or just watching a good show on Netflix.
Jasmine Boxley

Jasmine was initiated into the Rho Chapter, at California State University, Dominguez Hills, of Omega Phi Chi in the Spring of 2018. During her undergraduate career Jasmine held positions such as Dean of Recruitment. In May of 2019 she graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology. Jasmine continued to be very active on campus as she worked at the campus’ Encounter to Excellence program as a professional. After graduating she also served as Public Relations chair, Assistant Educator and the chapter’s Alumna Advisor for two years. Jasmine currently works as a Children’s Social Worker in Southern California and plans to pursue a Master’s in Social Work. When she’s not hanging out with sisters or giving back to her organization. She likes to create crafts and DIYs, listen to music, rollerskate, be in nature, travel and hang out with friends and family.

Kat was initiated into Alpha Chapter at Rutgers University-New Brunswick in Spring 2019. During her undergraduate career, she served as the President, Vice President, and Public Relations officer. She served the campus community as RU4Kids Liaison for Embrace Kids Foundation. Kat graduated cum laude in 2021 as a triple major in Social Work, Criminal Justice, and Latino & Caribbean Studies. In 2022, Kat graduated sum cum laude with her Master of Social Work with a Certification in Promoting Child & Adolescent Well-Being. Post-graduation, Kat continued to support the organization by staying involved as an active alumna. Kat currently lives in Middlesex County, where she works as a Child and Family Therapist and Adjunct Professor at Middlesex County College. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, building Legos, and shopping!
KAITLYN LOPEZ

Kaitlyn Lopez was initiated into the Innovative Nu Chapter at Rutgers University-Newark in Fall 2017. As an undergraduate sister, she served as Public Relations Chair. Beyond her undergraduate career, Kaitlyn has continued to support our sisterhood by helping other chapters when needed, serving as Assistant Educator twice, and staying involved as active alumna. Also, she was a member of our Regional Stroll and Step team, Pink Reign. Her passion and love for our organization motivates her to give back to the sisterhood that has given her immeasurably more.
AMANDA WALLACE

Amanda Wallace was born in New Jersey and went to school at Fairleigh Dickinson University Teaneck where I was initiated into Omega Phi Chi in Spring of 2018. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and is currently working as a Registered Nurse. During her undergraduate years, she served as the Dean of Recruitment and Public Relations Chair of the chapter. Her hobbies include going to the, spending time with her dogs, and traveling with her friends and family.
Taylor Gardner
Taylor Gardner was initiated into the Thunderous Theta Chapter at Kean University in Spring 20. During her undergraduate career, she has held various positions within the chapter. Since graduating in May 2021 continue to support her chapter and sisterhood by serving as Assistant Educator and then Educator the following semester. During her free time, Taylor enjoys being with her family and friends, traveling and exploring new cultures.

National Director, Archivist
Chioma Obuteh was born in New Jersey and went to school at Fairleigh Dickinson University Teaneck where she was initiated into Omega Phi Chi in Spring of 2019 her senior year. She received her Bachelor's of Science in General Science and is currently working as a Medical Assistant and a Lab Technician. Chioma was also very active on campus as she was a student ambassador, the secretary and public relations director for the Aral Culture club, the secretary for the Caribbean Culture Club, and a Resident Assistant. Her hobbies include going to the spa, spending time with her friends, and writing.

National Director, Expansion
Yani Horge was initiated into our Omicron chapter, at Fairleigh Dickinson University Metropolitan Campus, in Spring of 2016. She received her bachelors degree in Psychology Clinical Social Work and her masters degree in Higher Education Administration. During her undergraduate years, Yani held positions within her chapter and later served as New Member Educator during fall 2019. Outside of OPC Yani worked as an admissions recruiter and is currently employed by Saint Peter’s University as a Student Engagement Coordinator.
