Omega Weekend 2013: Miami!

On August 9, 2013 Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. commenced its 25th Anniversary “Omega Weekend” in Miami, Florida. During the annual “Omega Weekend” sisters from all over the country come together for a series of events during a 3 day weekend. Sisters from our Xi and Kappa chapters, both based in Miami, hosted sisters from other states. On Friday, sisters met for a lovely welcome dinner in the heart of South Beach. Saturday's activities included a full day of workshops and speakers on topics such as professionalism, leadership and sisterhood. Founding Sister, Natalia Tapia, of Zeta Chapter, served as the day's Keynote Speaker. To conclude the weekend, on Sunday, sisters participated in a community service project, putting together back to school supplies for teachers and students in the Miami area. Afterwards we enjoyed the remainder of the trip with some fun in the sun for a sister beach day!
