A Message from our President

Dear Sisters,
It’s officially back-to-school season! As we head into another school year, I wanted to take a moment to wish all of our sisters and their families a great start to the year. Whether you’re heading back to campus, returning to the classroom, or getting your children ready for school, I know this time of year looks a little different for everyone.
To Our Undergraduate Sisters: Welcome back! I hope you have an amazing semester ahead. Stay focused on your goals, take care of yourselves, and don’t forget to actually enjoy your college experience along the way. There will definitely be stressful weeks (and probably a few late nights), so remember that it’s okay to ask for help and lean on your sisters when you need it. Most importantly, never lose sight of why you’re there and what you’re working toward.
To Our Graduate Sisters: To our sisters continuing their education in graduate and professional programs, I’m wishing you a successful year ahead! Balancing classes, assignments, research, work, internships, and everything else life throws at you is no small task. Remember to give yourself some grace, celebrate the progress you’re making, and keep your eyes on the finish line. Every paper, presentation, exam, and late night is getting you one step closer to that next degree, and we’re rooting for you!
To Our Educators: Wishing all of our educators a great year with your students! I know how much time and energy goes into preparing for a new school year, and your work does not go unnoticed. I hope this year brings you great students, plenty of patience, and moments that remind you why you chose to do what you do.
To Our Moms: And to our moms getting their little (or not-so-little) ones ready for another school year, I hope the transition back is a smooth one! Between new schedules, school supplies, activities, homework, and everything else that comes with being a mom, remember to make some time for yourself too. Wishing your babies a safe, happy, and successful school year!
And to the Sisters Doing It All: Some of you are students, educators, mothers, professionals, or a combination of all of the above. Balancing everything isn’t always easy, so give yourself some grace and take things one day at a time. No matter what back-to-school season looks like for you, know that your sisters are rooting for you.
Here’s to a safe, successful, and exciting school year for our entire sisterhood and our families. Good luck this year, sisters!
Kind Regards,
Dr. Katherine Granja

A Message from our 1st Vice President of Alumnae Affairs

Greetings, Sorors!
I am excited and honored to begin the 2026–2027 term serving as your First Vice President of Alumnae Affairs. As we welcome a new National Board and a new sorority year, I am looking forward to strengthening the connection between our alumnae, collegiate chapters, and national leadership while creating meaningful opportunities for engagement, leadership, and continued service.
Alumnae Affairs is already moving! This year, we are focused on strengthening the Alumnae Advisor program through clearer standards, resources, and support; expanding opportunities for alumnae engagement and leadership; strengthening collaboration with the Alumnae Association; exploring new ways for our sisters to remain active, connected, and impactful throughout every season of their Omega journey; and developing new pathways that support the continued growth and legacy of Omega Phi Chi Multicultural Sorority, Incorporated.
And Sorors…there’s more on the horizon.
Something exciting is taking shape within Alumnae Affairs as we explore new possibilities for growth, connection, and expanding the reach of our sisterhood. I am excited about what we will build together. Whether you have been an alumna for one year or more than twenty, your experience, leadership, and talents remain an important part of continuing to strengthen our sisterhood and its legacy.
The vision is taking shape, and details will unfold soon. For now, stay connected, stay engaged, and keep your eyes on what’s coming next. You may know a sOPhistiCated woman who will want to know, too.
Here’s to a year of connection, collaboration, leadership, service, and legacy. I am excited about what we will accomplish together and even more excited for what’s ahead!
In Sisterhood & Service,
Sherry Brown
