(New Brunswick, NJ) – Omega Phi Chi Sorority announces Omega Weekend 2014 will be held in Washington, DC. The weekend, filled with events for all sisters, will be held from Thursday, July 31st through Sunday, August 3rd. This is the second year the annual event has been held outside of the founding state of the organization.
Omega Weekend combines the Annual Sister Conference and the Annual Sister Retreat by providing programs, seminars, and activities for professional, alumnae, and undergraduate sisters to come together and take part in. The Sister Conference, facilitated by the National Governing Board, will include seminars covering a various number of topic of interest to sisters and women in general. All events will seek to empower women with knowledge that can be translated into making a difference in the communities in which the Sisters of Omega Phi Chi reside.
The National Governing Board will be providing more information regarding the details of Omega Weekend as the time approaches.

Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 9, 1988 at Rutgers University in New Jersey. The purpose of the organization is to generate unity among all women by fostering a sisterhood based on honesty, loyalty, respect, responsibility, academic excellence, and involvement in community service. Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. is committed to helping others and making differences throughout communities.
