International Badge Day 2014
Fellowship, leadership and a lifelong commitment to community service are the daily themes in the lives of sorority women — from our college members to alumnae.
On Monday, March 3, these women — who number in the millions — will celebrate International Badge Day during National Women’s History Month. On that day, all of us will honor our separate and distinct Greek-letter affiliations by wearing our badges or letters.
It’s a day set aside to acknowledge successful women around the globe, whether they are U.S. senators or university freshmen working for humanitarian aid in far-away continents.

(New Brunswick, NJ) -- International Badge Day was started in 1997 by the National Panhellenic Conference as a celebration to honor sisterhood. The date is recognized in March during National Women’s History Month as a day to acknowledge successful women around the world in any and all capacities. As an organization that focuses on the Empowerment of Women and the advancement of the female culture, Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Incorporated will be participating in International Badge Day on Monday, March 3, 2014.
All Sororities from the National Multicultural Greek Council, Inc., the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc., the National Asian Pacific Inslander American Panhellenic Association and the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Inc. have been invited by the National Panhellenic Conference to come together on this one day to commemorate and celebrate sisterhood by wearing their respective sorority badges/letters in celebration.
This year’s theme is: “Wear Your Letters on Your Heart.” Every organization is encouraged to participate in different ways; however, the overall goal is to reflect and celebrate the diversity, advancement and accomplishments of women. Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc.’s National Governing Board suggests the following ways for our entire membership (Undergraduate and Alumnus) to participate in this nationally recognized event.

Change your profile picture on March 3 to a photo of Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc.’s shield.
Change your status on Facebook on March 3 to read, “Celebrating International Badge Day with sorority women everywhere by wearing my letters on my heart.”
Post a photo of yourself/ your chapter wearing your Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. pins on the International Badge Day Facebook event page.
On Twitter and Instagram use #badgeday14.
Make sure to post the same photos on all Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. National social media sites as well as your respective chapter social media sites- Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
In Person
Wear your Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. pins over your heart all day.
Have a sister lunch and celebrate our sisterhood and each other.
Host a table and use “Wear Your Letters on Your Heart” as a theme.
Invite other members from the above mentioned councils on your campus to co-sponsor.
