	Shirley Gonzalez: As a Spanish teacher, Shirley Gonzalez is able to pass on culture and a deeper sense of acceptance of others to a predominantly white group of 6th graders.
	Bettyna Julien: Growing up without a mentor, was an experience that inspired Bettyna Julien to become one herself for urban teens growing up in her neighborhood.
	Stephanie Chang, a recent graduate of Rutgers University, found in the sorority the sisters she never had growing up as an only child.
