OPC Cares organizes a professional clothing drive for Women's Alliance Organization.
The National Governing Board of Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. will be facilitating all undergraduate and alumni chapters in collecting professional attire and accessories beginning August 12th through September 25th. Items collected after this time may still be accepted. All items collected will be donated to the Women's Alliance Organization. This organization ensures that low-income individuals have the professional attire and career skills coaching they need to make the right impression on job interviews and to succeed in the workplace.
They are accepting the following items:
- New hoisery and socks
- Gently worn professional attire
- Professional accessories
- Shoes
The Women’s Alliance is a national organization of independent, community based members who provide professional attire and career skills training to low income women and their families seeking self sufficiency. The Womens’ Alliance provides a point of focus for collaborative efforts among organizations delivering similar services, thereby maximizing resources, expertise and best practices to every member’s ultimate benefit. As such, The Women’s Alliance functions as a national center for collaborative program development, fund raising, public relations, marketing and communication efforts. A key function of The Women’s Alliance is to help new organizations get started in communities that are not already being served.
