National Governing BoardThe National Governing Board of Omega Phi Chi Sorority is the formal governing body that oversees all organizational operations as well as strategic implementation to uphold our mission. It is comprised of a group of alumnae leaders with varying expertise committed to the success of Omega Phi Chi. National Governing Board members are successful women within their careers and their communities who implement their experiences into guiding, teaching, and empowering our members using their networking, personal experiences, and organizational knowledge. Our National Governing Board supports and promotes philanthropic endeavors of all kinds through out the year. The main philanthropy of the National Governing Board is the YWCA. "This organization dedicates itself to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all." (Young Women's Christian Association) Annual ProjectsAlong with various community service and philanthropic projects, the National Governing Board plans and implements three main annual projects. They are: The Sister ConferenceOmega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. firmly believes in supporting all members within the organization so that each woman not only achieves her full potential, but excels academically, socially, and spiritually. Our Annual Sister Conference is geared towards the needs of our membership, as well as consists of workshops and activities that provide the essential tools needed to be successful in any arena. Omega Sister RetreatAlumnae and undergraduate members come together during the Omega Retreat to focus on our sisterhood. The Omega Retreat is a unique and powerful bonding experience shared within our membership that all within the organization look forward to attending. Bi-Annual Lunch Bag ProjectThe entire sorority participates in a bi-annual Lunch Bag Project in which each of our chapters donate food and/or supplies to distribute to those experiencing hard times in inner cities. Servicing our communities is a priority for the sisters of Omega Phi Chi Sorority. |
